Priya received a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 2002. Prior to that, Priya worked for a number of years in autism therapy research as she earned her undergraduate degree in developmental psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She has worked in a variety of different pediatric setting including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, school-based therapy and developmental clinics, with a focus on sensory integration and developmental work for the last 9 years.
In addition to her work at Connected Kidz, Priya also works at the Child Development Center at California Pacific Medical Center. She has been trained in a broad range of therapeutic techniques and areas of practice including the Alert Program, Handwriting without Tears, sensory integration theory and research, DIR/Floortime, social skills development and feeding therapy.
