Meet Maya

Maya grew up in San Francisco, went to Burke's school K-8, and the St. Ignatius high school. She went on to UC Davis and then transferred to UCSD, where she received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2003. She also played collegiate basketball at UCD and UCSD. She then received her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009 from Dominican University. She worked at CPMC in the Child Development Center from 2009 to 2014, and now she currently is full time at Connected Kidz, which she founded with Cindy Ng in 2011.

Maya is proficient and skilled in assessing and treating deficits in gross motor, fine motor, and sensory processing skills. She taught preschool at the JCCSF for 6 years prior to becoming and occupational therapist and has a passion for working with children and their families. In addition to working with young children, Maya also coaches high school girls basketball. She coached at Urban from 2014-2020, at St. Ignatius from 2020-2025, and she has her own club basketball teams called SF Sparks.
